Canadian Healthcare AI is an independent demonstration platform created by Sean Cranbury through Sympathetic Technology. It explores how governed AI systems can support healthcare communication, legislative access, organizational readiness, and public understanding in Canada.
Canadian Healthcare AI was built from direct experience inside healthcare nonprofits and member-based organizations. Sean Cranbury is the former Director of Organizational Development at the Physiotherapy Association of BC, where he developed AI-assisted tools for advocacy, legislative interpretation, and public understanding of incoming HPOA legislation.
Sean Cranbury has completed professional certificate programs through Harvard Medical School focused on AI in healthcare, healthcare transformation, and leading digital transformation initiatives inside complex institutions.
These programs informed the governance and implementation approach behind Canadian Healthcare AI: emphasizing institutional readiness, responsible deployment, public trust, workflow integration, and practical organizational adoption rather than speculative or consumer-oriented AI development.
The work is grounded in the realities of healthcare communication, member organizations, policy interpretation, and operational change management.
The goal is not to create generic AI chat interfaces. The goal is to build careful systems that help people understand legislation, policy, governance, and public services without replacing human judgment. Every tool on this site is designed to provide clarity, context, and trustworthy access to information.
Canadian Healthcare AI is developed through Sympathetic Technology with support from a network of designers, developers, writers, and implementation partners. Where appropriate, Sean collaborates with experienced digital agencies and technical specialists on complex projects.
Sean Cranbury is Principal and CEO of Sympathetic Technology, an AI infrastructure studio building custom tools, governance frameworks, and practical AI workflows for healthcare, nonprofit, cultural, and professional organizations.
He has more than 20 years of experience across nonprofits, publishing, communications, healthcare associations, and organizational strategy, including serving as Director of Organizational Development at the Physiotherapy Association of BC.
